Here I go again... another wound to heal, another crack in my heart. Love is the most powerful feeling in the world. It can raise you up and hold you high, it can bring you down and hold you under.

I think everyone is afraid of love but not all will admit it. Some are afraid they won't find it, others may be afraid they'll lose it once they've found it.

Me... I'm afraid I won't find someone who will love me for than a year. They always leave after a year with me. I just want more than a   more...

I have hope, I have faith, I have patience. But I'm losing strength.

I just want to love someone. I want to make someone happy with my presence in their life. I want to feel the completeness instead of this aching hole inside of me.

All good advice from people who have been through it. God does tell us to guard our hearts, and the Bible tells us repeatedly to be cautious and wise about everything in our lives - this being one of the most important since it can literally bring us down and crush us. I thought I was over my horrible break up of March 2006, and here it is July 2007, and I'm suddenly seeing how that disaster has greatly affected every potential relationship and dating experience I've had since. God does tell us to guard our hearts, and the Bible tells us repeatedly to be cautious and wise about everything in our lives - this being one of the most important since it can literally bring us down and crush us. I thought I was over my horrible break up of March 2006, and here it is July 2007, and I'm suddenly seeing how that disaster has greatly affected every potential relationship and dating experience I've had since. I've ditched alot of nice guys in the fear of being squashed all over again. We need to be really sure of ourselves before stepping back out there, otherwise, past hurts will flair up as new bruises in completely unrelated experiences.
(sort of like a disease that goes into remission then suddenly pops back up!)Taking alot of time to get to know someone without a physical investment (which automatically links itself to our emotional well being, girls!) is very important - eventually if you walk away, you won't be leaving behind yet another chunk of your soul. Men would do well to do the same...but you know how they are. :-) less...

Sweet Sweet Texan - it takes the same length of time to get over a relationship than it did to build it. Each time you are building throughout the year - it will take another year to put away the hurt in your heart. Each time your heart is hurt - a small part is displaced - over the years the heart becomes weaker and weaker to that type of hurt & injury.
The bible says "protect your heart" - God knew what He was teaching us.

Say to yourself and to God - this is the type of guy I want to find - the type that will have healthy wholesome views about God, life, marriage, children. A guy that will encourage you - morally support you - a caring guy - a guy that let's you know what he is thinking and his
view of the future with or without you in his life.
If you think you found that REAL guy - thank God for him - and TALK, TALK, TALK with this guy - become friends BEFORE you share anything more personal, before you go to his place or yours, before you introduce him to friends or family. You may be called a prude - but your heart will be healthy, intact, and strong - strong enough for that RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WHEN IT SHOWS UP. less...

Sorry about the Heart ache! I know how it feels. I was left putting it nicely back in end of March 07 and it was not fun. You give all and then, I don't want you anymore:( Have been thru it before but each time it takes a bit longer but it does get better:) I know for me and for you that our day will come and we will be smiling:) So really don't give up! At the same time, it can be broken in 2 seconds simply from the wrong word or phrase spoken, and can take years to mend.....
