I think I know what you mean though - you come from a military family, so do I, and that makes talking to civ. men HARD, their interests are just kind of absurd. Example: I told one civ. guy that my one of my plans is to go bear hunting in Alaska - now, I got a LONG LONG LECTURE about how bad that was! A military man would've asked me, "When do we go?", I'm pretty sure.
